Ray Singh [He/Him]
I have read neuroscientific books since 7th grade regarding cognitive and biological development, influenced mainly by the environment curated by our primary caregivers. Often, we end up repeating the behaviour modelled for us in childhood. With collective knowledge, we can strive to create a more trauma-informed community and heal collectively.
CO-PRESIDENT
Jannat Gill [She/Her]
As a psychology student, I have always felt the need to advocate conversations centred around trauma, its effects and preventative measures that we as a community should be taking. At the uOttawa Chapter, I would love to help bring the community together to raise awareness, start conversations and aid people with resources to deal with childhood trauma. It's never too late to join this movement toward creating a community where healing is prioritized with open dialogues and community building.
